NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
The NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety is designed for supervisors and managers within the international construction industry and is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities.
The qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
The NEBOSH International General Certificate course is split into three units of study, each of which is assessed separately:
Unit IGC1: Management of International Health and Safety
Foundations in Health and Safety
Health and Safety Management Systems 1 - Policy
Health and Safety Management Systems 2 - Organising
Health and Safety Management Systems 3 - Planning
Health and Safety Management Systems 4 - Measuring, Audit and Review
Unit IGC1 of this qualification is common to the International General Certificate, the International Construction Certificate and the International Fire Certificate.
You do not have to sit IGC1 again when studying for the NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, if you have passed it within the last five years.

Blended Learning Option
You can study the NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health & Safety by attending a blended learning course at one of our high-quality training venues in the USA, Kingston Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
Our blended learning course allows you to study the course by distance/e-learning and then attend a two-day classroom workshop which provides intensive tutor-led revision before you sit your exam.
Our distance/e-learning option with unlimited help and support from our expert NEBOSH Trainers is a great option for those who need a more flexible way to study the NEBOSH Certificate.
You can start the blended learning or e-learning course at anytime and you'll receive support and guidance from your online tutor as you progress through the learning activities.
Units IGC1 and ICC1 of the NEBOSH International Certificate are each assessed by one two-hour written examination.
Unit ICC2 assessment requires students to complete a practical application within 14 days (before or after) of sitting the examination for Units IGC1 and/or ICC1.
Exams normally take place in March, June, September and December, but we can make arrangements to take these exams at other times to suit the requirements of our students.
We have exam centres in the USA, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago. In addition, for other countries, we can make arrangements for you to take the exam at your local British Consultate office.
No previous health and safety knowledge is required. However it should be noted that the examination is offered, and must be answered, in English, and that the course includes a requirement to write a short report, which must also be in English.
NEBOSH recommends that candidates undertaking the NEBOSH International General Certificate should reach the equivalent of a scoring of 6.0 or higher under the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

The course is being delivered by OSHE Consultants in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA, for aspiring health and safety professionals in the construction industry.

You can make an application without having to pay any course fees. Once our course administrator has reviewed your previous qualifications and experience we'll then discuss with you your suitability for the course before offering you a place.
